Oct 25 design wall

I finished my block from last week. I must say, I find this pattern to be a challenge. But, OH! I love the end results. I am still trying to decide if I want to commit to an entire quilt of these blocks. I think this one is best dealt with one block at a time, between other projects. The block is called Mississippi Wheel of Fortune and it is a Karen Stone pattern.

This block has great motion and love the colors. I'm not sure I'd want a whole quilt of it either but it would be fun to try to make the block. By the way, I, too, don't think you "failed" when you only got one UFO done.

Either give them away or finish them as easily as you can. IE -- don't add complicated three part borders. Just slap on a border, quilt it up and give it to a charity. Done, no mess, no hassle. (Of course, I'm not that good at taking my own advice although I am currently working on two UFO's. One is almost to the quilting stage and that is great!) Bonnie in Va.

Great quilt; love the colors, pattern and movement. The border really defines the quilt. Not sure if original idea but it's great either way.

That quilt has lots of movement. It does look hard.

I think most people would find that block challenging. It does look great though, especially those borders.

What about using that block as the centre of a wall hanging or a medallion quilt? It is beautiful!

It is fabulous! But a ton of work! Just work on it until you're tired of the blocks - bet that doesn't happen!

The block looks challenging but so worth it! Lovely.

That's just one block? I thought it was a whole quilt. Wow, a whole days work for one block, at least at my house. I like the idea of one block between other projects. It's the only way I could get it done. Good luck.

So how big is this block? I do love it, the colors just look like candy to me.
