Today's wall

On the design wall today are my completed blocks from my two-block nightmare. I am going to try a different marking technique on the cornered star blocks and see if that helps me get a block that I am satisfied with. If not, I will be putting this one aside for a while. Can you say future ufo? ;)

To see what other quilters are working on, Check out Judy's blog.

Very striking design. Would look great hanging on a wall. Keep working on it as you may not pull it out to piece again. I try to at least piece all blocks before putting a project away.

I love the name you've chosen for this one, you are such a hoot! The blocks look great, what's the nightmare about?

Oh no...not a UFO in the making?!?
WHat about sewing an easier block to put in the empty spots?

Wimp that I am, I would have already reached the point where it would be packed away. Especially if it was giving me trouble. Having said that, it's such a striking quilt. Cheers, Ann :-)

I think the quilt pattern is great! Have you considered paperpiecing the star block? I can't tell from your picture if you are making the center with half square triangles or if you are piecing the set in pieces. Those are always hard for me. But the design is marvelous - I love the secondary patterns being created. Hang in there - its a great design!
